A mount connects two different surfaces
The two WhatAFind clips feature a magnetic car-phone mount with an adjustable, rotating bracket. Its purpose is to hold the phone in a useful position without a conventional gripping cradle. To judge the setup, separate the two connections: how the phone attaches to the mount, and how the mount attaches to the vehicle. Both need to suit the actual equipment you own.
Check the case as well as the phone
Magnetic compatibility can depend on the phone, its case, and any included ring or adapter. Confirm what the exact listing requires, rather than treating a familiar compatibility word as a promise for every phone. A magnetic holder is not necessarily a wireless charger, either. If charging is part of your goal, check that separately and consider where its cable would run.
Plan the position before buying
Look at the mount’s attachment method, surface requirements, adjustment range, and removal instructions. Choose a position consistent with the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance, keeping sightlines and controls clear. These clips do not establish holding strength over bumps, long-term adhesive performance, or suitability for every dashboard finish. The useful comparison is with your own car and phone combination. A flexible joint can help with positioning, but the installation still needs a stable, appropriate foundation.
