BougeRV CL04: light placement, runtime and phone charging
How the folding tripod and adjustable panels change light placement, and what to check before sharing the battery with your phone.
Based on WhatAFind’s Instagram posts and product information. Not a hands-on review.
Put the light where the activity is
A small lantern needs somewhere to sit or hang. The CL04 brings its own folding tripod and telescopic support, giving you another way to position light around a table or beside a chair. Our video shows the BougeRV branding, unfolding design and a phone connected for charging. This is a product overview based on that footage and published specifications, not a campsite or battery test.
Height and direction are separate adjustments
BougeRV specifies a maximum height of 64.57 inches and three adjustable LED panels. Think about both where the lamp stands and where each panel points. A taller light may clear a tabletop, but its spread legs still need space away from foot traffic. Check your intended spot before choosing a lamp for a small tent or crowded picnic area. The video overlay says 360-degree angle control; the retailer instead specifies 270-degree horizontal and 180-degree vertical movement per panel. Use the model-specific instructions for adjustment limits.
Read the condition behind 60 hours
The Amazon listing qualifies its up-to-60-hour claim: one panel at low brightness. That is a different setup from lighting all three panels brightly for an evening. BougeRV lists a 15,600mAh battery, three brightness levels and warm and cool light settings. Start with the light level you actually need, then check the corresponding runtime in the instructions. The headline maximum does not establish how long your own arrangement will last.
Phone charging shares the same battery
The footage shows a connected phone displaying its charging indicator. That demonstrates the intended function, but not a measured charging rate or number of full phone charges. If you plan to use the lamp for both lighting and charging, budget for both uses. Keep a separate charging option when your phone is essential; the lantern's battery capacity alone does not tell you how much energy will reach a particular phone.
Check the selected version before ordering
The owner-supplied ASIN B0FGHZXNGV opens a BougeRV CL04 listing on Amazon.ca. Its product details say CL04B and light green, whereas our footage shows a black-and-yellow unit. The offer checked was sold and shipped by Amazon US and displayed an import notice. Confirm colour, accessories, seller and applicable return terms in the current offer. This link identifies the intended product family; the still should not be treated as a photograph of the exact colour being shipped.
A useful fit for a shared outdoor space
Consider this format when you want movable light with its own support, rather than another object occupying the table. Before packing, check the folded size against your storage space and the open tripod against where people will walk. BougeRV lists IP54 protection, but that does not make the lamp suitable for every exposure. Follow the supplied manual for weather, charging and storage precautions. We have not verified its brightness coverage, weather resistance or long-term durability.
